When I was young I always drew. I was naturally good at it and practiced a lot.
I always opted for the art courses in school instead of band class. Drawing was the springboard for my graphic design career.
I have two kids now. And my oldest (2 year old – Ruth) just got her first drawing easel for Christmas. She loves drawing on it.
I think art and creativity are very important during childhood and there are lots of benefits. Thinking with an open mind. Learning to observe, analyze and interpret. Your child learns to express feelings. And your child learns problem solving, critical-thinking, etc.
